Custom Heat Cell

Custom heated stage for IntraOcular Lens (IOL) testing.  This project was a modification to an existing bench.  Bench could not be removed from clean room or taken out of operation for more than a day.  Setup was designed remotely and then quickly added to existing bench on-site.

Goals

• Heat IOL wet cell during Power/MTF testing 

• Robust to saline solution (not gum up rotary stage)

• Tightly controlled temperature to mimic human body temp without damaging IOL​

• Compact hardware that is safe for use in clean room​
